TEACHING AND LEARNING COACH - ELEMENTARY

Joplin Schools is seeking a Teaching and Learning Coach who is an innovative, self-motivated individual and demonstrates a passion for students and learning, as well as has the ability to build trust and relationships with teachers and staff in order to facilitate successful learning experiences for adult learners.

Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with building and district level administration to promote achievement of building and district goals
- Link schools with district curriculum initiatives and resources
- Communicate and model proven instructional practices that will result in increased student achievement
- Create and collaborate with teacher teams and schools on district assessments and resources for continuity
- Provide professional development on district initiatives
- Co-plan, co-teach, observe, and provide embedded classroom support
- Analyze data and facilitate data conversations
- Keep abreast of innovative strategies and research that will continue student
improvement

Education
Bachelors Degree
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate

Language

Read, analyze and interpret professional journals, Board policy, administrative procedures and forms and governmental regulations and guidance
Complete forms, write reports and engage in written correspondence with parents
Present information effectively and respond to questions
Write clear and complete lesson plans

Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations

Conditions and Environment
The individual who holds this position will regularly work in a school environment that is noisy and active. Occasionally the individual will be required to work outdoors for short periods of time to perform such tasks as loading and unloading students from district transportation and supervising recess.
